The aim of the module is to collect the requirements of the users, to identify the necessary solutions and the current shortcomings, to co-design the architecture and to select the appropriate infrastructure (cloud providers) and network.
The project will produce a System and Data Definition Plan, which will include the collection of requirements, the analysis of needs and deficiencies and the co-design and definition of the system architecture. Also, there will be an Exhibition of Analysis and Selection of Appropriate Infrastructure for the selection and connection with reliable infrastructures and networks for the processing of Earth Observation big data, in order to serve the development of big data management and analysis applications.
This module includes the creation of the infrastructure, and the retrieval, pre-processing, harmonization, storage and graphical representation of heterogeneous data.
Through a detailed report of actions on the data, the historical data and the process of collecting new data (satellite, epidemiological, entomological, ornithological and equine data) will be presented in two stages. At the same time, a Data Cube infrastructure and database will be created, with the aim of efficient space-time exploration and processing of satellite images. Finally, the results will be published in international conferences / journals.
The analysis of large time series of historical data, the creation of statistical / dynamic models, as well as the definition of an epidemiological model, a model of disease risk and a model for predicting the growth of a prosperous population, is the subject of research of the 3rd Module.
The material produced will include a statistical analysis of historical data, environmental parameters and Earth Observation data. Forecasting and epidemiological models of prosperous population growth, will also be produced. Finally, a report will be created on the definition of the epidemiological model and the evaluation of the models, while these results will be published in international conferences / journals.
The goal of the module is to develop data entry / export interfaces and a WebGIS application for service / product visualization.
Within the framework of the project, a system of data collection automation interfaces will be produced, which will include the automated connection to external data sources for the better operation and the maximum exploitation of the results of EMPROS. A comprehensive Geographic Information System and an online application for data entry will also be developed. Finally, there will be publications in international conferences / journals, in order to disseminate the results of the platform and its functions.
This module includes the design and execution of a pilot application for the purpose of evaluating the completed system.
Three pilot applications will be developed, in which the end users who took part in the process of collecting requirements through the questionnaire method, will participate and will focus on the Regions of Central Macedonia, Western Greece and Thessaly. Finally, there will be publications in international conferences / journals, in order to disseminate the pilot applications and their results.
A diffusion-communication plan, a co-exploitation strategy plan, user training and the creation of a documentation / user manual are the actions of the last module.
The dissemination and communication plan will include proposals for the promotional material, for the brochures, and will analyze the strategy for the publication of the results of the EMPROS project. At the same time, a plan for a strategy of co-exploitation and promotion of the services provided by the EMPROS system will be produced.
The user training will produce a report and an application guide and user manual, with all the necessary instructions for the optimal use and utilization of the EMPROS system by the end users.
